Peter Woolnough Interview

INTRODUCTION

During the UK UFO witness interviews in 2019, Jon Marsden introduced this writer to Peter Woolnough. He was sincerely animated and excited for us to travel on site to his UFO experience of February, 1999, near Tattingstone, Suffolk.

We chatted about his experience with a triangle craft hovering 50 yards above a fallow field just off a side road. Peter’s daughter and son were in attendance during the 10 minute event. His daughter Lisa supplied Universal Digest with her recounting of her experience in a written testimonial. This is provided at the end of this section.

PETER WOOLNOUGH EXPERIENCE

The following is the transcription of the video taken with Peter and Jon who was operating the camera at the side road where, just off to the side where a field exists to this day. The hedgerows on either side of the road did not exist in February of 1999.

INTERVIEW TRANSCRIPTION

ED: Hi, this is Ed from Universal Digest.

PETER: Hi Ed

ED: Thanks for taking the time…

PETER: That’s fine Ed, yeah, yeah, right.

ED: Tell us about the night in question…

PETER: It was February, 1999 and my daughter and son were with me at the time. I left home to come by here roughly about quarter to 12 midnight and I went over to Napton (gesturing behind our car), which was that way. Obviously, I came back a little bit later, which was roughly about 10 past 12. So, 10 past 12 midnight I was coming back with the two children. My oldest son was driving, because he was learning to drive. And, my daughter even remembered that when I contacted them over the weekend, little, little things came out you know what I mean, so we came across the Orwell Bridge where we traveled a short while ago. And, uh, I was in the passenger side so I could look over quite easily because, he was a quite competent driver by that time. And, I saw this light and I said, “Look at that light.” How you do, stupid, but you know you say look at the light to the other people in the car. And, um, so, we kept an eye on it. So, as we turned left off the A14 down to this A137 towards Tattingstone, I said we won’t normally come down here. We’ll continue along this service road to where we lived. I said we’ll pull in this next left and have a look, which is where we are now with the car, and, uh… So, we stopped, got out of the car and looked up where this bright light was showing because obviously, it must have had a light that shew (showed) to the side, as well as, down because we could see it whilst coming along the Orwell Bridge because it wasn’t just a downward beam you could only see where it’s you on the ground. You could see it as a light, as well. So, we got out of the car (motioning to the field on his left) and looked across to this field, which is where the…

ED: Bearing in mind the shrubbery was not there…

PETER: No, the shrubbery was not here. It was 20 years ago and I don’t think there was any at the time. Actually, we had a clear view that when we looked up into the sky where this object was, uh, I was playing football (UK Soccer) at the time. Not, not at the time whilst we were standing here and, uh…

ED: Not at midnight, chuckle…

PETER: So, I was able to estimate the size of this object was the size of a football field.

ED: Oh, wow, really?

PETER: It wasn’t the same shape because it was triangular; the point of the triangle facing towards us. And, I estimated then and I still maintain that it was about 50 yards up from the ground.

ED: Wow, that’s really low.

PETER: So, we really had a good view of it. Although, we couldn’t see any detail on the level view of the fuselage, it was up in the air, do you know what I mean?

ED: Right.

PETER: You couldn’t see any detail. All you could see was this light coming roughly central of the triangle.

ED: What kind of light or lights were there on this triangle?

PETER: Well, it was just a white light in that center coming down.

ED: Oh, from the center coming down, okay.

PETER: Oh, and obviously the side part of the lens you could see from the side. Um, we got into the vehicle (their car, remember, it was February) and was looking at this object and I think we actually might have said what it was at the time. And, um, we weren’t scared. That’s a bit what amazed me.

ED: Wow.

PETER: You’d think, well, you’ve got something so close, what is it that must be happening, instead, we watched this item for about, between 10 and 15 minutes.

ED: 10 and 15 minutes??? It was just hovering?

PETER: Yeah, it was just hovering.

ED: At 50 yards above (all looking up)???

PETER: Yes, at 50 yards above. So, I’d just say in the mid-part of this field we’re standing beside…

ED: Right…

PETER: It didn’t seem to be far away. And, you could hear this whir, whir, whir, whir like a motor running. It didn’t change, it didn’t speed up, and it was just whir, whir, whir, whir all the time we stood here. So, we just kept watching. I suppose we were chatting at the time, as well. But, we didn’t say too much. We were mainly just mesmerized to watch this object.

ED: Am sure you were. You mentioned something about maybe the color of the craft?

PETER: Yeah, it was definitely a gray and not what you’d call a flat gray, there was um, you couldn’t see a pattern on it, but yet, yet the gray was made up of different lines, I think. Does that make sense? They were quite close together, but it made the gray color of the object.

ED: Yes, it does, but if I hate to interject, was it like a metallic gray?

PETER: Didn’t appear to be…

ED: Okay. There you go.

PETER: It didn’t appear to be, but it was a dense gray…

ED: Just a dense gray…

PETER: It was a fairly dense gray, but we remember it was like made up of different make up (drawing on hand) like a lot of lines together, which from looking at this distance just that kind of gray.

ED: About how wide do you think it was?

PETER: Right, well we weren’t near to it so we couldn’t see how wide it was. That was the thing about it. You couldn’t say how many feet it was…

ED: It was more like you were looking up at it.

PETER: Yeah, it was, you know, it was just this mass. We never even thought or discussed what it was. It just didn’t enter our heads, you know what I mean? Some way, I don’t know why, but where this light was, as well, the main area of it was flat. There was this area where this light was, there was something on the underside of this thing. It didn’t appear to be large, but it was where this light was housed in. So, whether it was an entrance to this craft I don’t know.

ED: That is similar to some others that I’ve heard…

PETER: (Nod in moderate astonishment)

ED: Yes, right, now the light was…what color was it?

PETER: It was a plain white light.

ED: Just wanted to be sure.

PETER: Yeah, not, not white, white, some lights are nearly white aren’t they? (ED: Yes, yes.). Yes, this was a yellowy white light like some kinds of headlights are when they get yellowy white. It was like that, you know what I mean? (ED: Uh hum.). It was quite strong, not in it. It didn’t light us up, but it did light the ground up.

ED: So, you could see the ground underneath it (PETER: Yeah.), clearly.

PETER: Yeah, you could because, uh, after about, so, getting towards a quarter of an hour, we, we, sort of, we stood slightly to the side and we were looking a bit like that (hands in the air) to it. And, all of a sudden, no warning, no change sound or anything this object just went and it was just a slight whoosh and nothing else. And, it went as far as we could see to the skyline over there and I meant it went west (motioning with left hand over head) then whoosh!

ED: Uh, this hedgerow was not here, at all?

PETER: There was no hedgerow over there. And, it went west.

JON: I’ll geo take that direction (GPS coordinates) for you guys in a minute and you can add that to the video.

ED: Thank you. That will be a good idea, Jon.

PETER: But, say that I mean to estimate how far that skyline went because you know even though it was quarter after 12 at night it was one of those nights where you you’d still see the sky and up on the silhouettes of trees and that night in the distance…

ED: Wow. Now, from that it was immobile or rather hovering to the time it went whoosh it took off and you lost sight, right? How many seconds was that?

PETER: Right, under two seconds.

ED: Okay, there we are.

PETER: Yeah, definitely under (2 seconds). You may know I can count one second, one, one thousand, it was probably just one second, because we, we thought (head quickly turning to the west overhead), well, we thought we said to ourselves, gone!

ED: Oh, my gosh! You see, you have two other witnesses, your son and your daughter.
PETER: Yes, my son and daughter. They’re quite credible (all laugh).

ED: I’d say so!

PETER: I do say myself, you got what I mean, but then it was the one thing that was quite apparent was the lack of sound (ED: Yes, yes). Obviously, the whirring went because it disappeared. But, it didn’t make any…

ED: To be that large and then, within a second, it was just gone.

PETER: It wasn’t revving up at all to make this departure; do you know what I mean?

ED: Yes.

PETER: It was a slight, it wasn’t an air force, it was just a slight whoosh and then it was gone. And, you know what I mean?

ED: Yes, I do. That is, that is incredible, and to be there for 10 minutes!

PETER: Yeah, it was over 10 minutes and, as I said, we didn’t talk much about it, which I find a little bit weird, looking back…

ED: Well, probably you were a little bit stunned?

PETER: Yeah, but we were definitely not scared, if you know what I mean?

ED: Right.

PETER: And, we even said afterwards and when we got home we were telling our mum on that. So, we weren’t scared and we saw this object (chuckling).

ED: Goodness.

PETER: I just wish I knew the exact date. I should have written it down.

ED: Well, no, no, you know February of 1999…that’s close enough. Sometimes, people are lucky to get the year right after something like that.

PETER: Oh yeah, there was another sighting in Suffolk and it happened on the 6th of February.

ED: The 5th of February (PETER/JON: correction), oh, the 6th.

PETER: The way they described it wasn’t the same as what we saw.

JON: And you, sorry, after you… (ED: No, it’s okay) …to Peter… Did you say you’ve got a clip?

PETER: I’ve got a picture of the writing about it. I’ve got it on my phone. I could show you?

ED: Okay.

JON: Excellent.

JON: Sorry, Ed. What were you going to say there, sir?

ED: Oh, it’s unimportant now, I don’t remember. I think we’ve got it covered. But, ah, that…

PETER: I don’t think I’ve missed anything.

ED: Well, Peter, (shaking hands) I can’t thank you enough for taking the time to share this with us.

PETER: Well, Ed, it was a pleasure. You don’t find too many people that (chuckle) want to listen.

ED: Yes, it goes with the job sometimes. No, it’s honor to hear and thanks for sharing because it’s very credible. You know, we’re getting, you know, this part of East Anglia so to speak has really been active for a long time.

JON: Absolutely.

ED: It’s stupendous, so I mean…

PETER: And then, prior to this happening, I used to work at the, um, police headquarters as a support worker and I saw in ’85 people were still talking about the Rendlesham Forest (ED: Yeah, December 26, 1980). Yeah, I was for 20, I was there 25 years, still 20 years later it still came up occasionally about Rendlesham Forest. Because, there were police officers there, weren’t they?

ED: Yes, they were.

PETER: So, yeah, it did come up.

ED: I have a little cliché, “They sent a cadre of police, military and others out into the middle of a forest for absolutely no reason at all (thumbs up)!”

PETER: Yes, absolutely no reason at all (laughter).

JON: There is a friend who was in the 81st at the time said, “You don’t send guys chasing after a satellite around the forest (laughter)!”

ED: Or Santa Clause and his reindeer with an A-10.

JON: Or Santa Clause on, as on the radio. Yeah, absolutely.

ED: Thanks again. That’s hopeful.

PETER: Yeah, it was a pleasure to be of any help that it might be?

ED: Thanks for letting us publish this.

PETER: Before we picture your book, what will happen in our universe?

ED: Well, it is more people like you coming forward. It helps not only with disclosure; it helps with an ultimate confirmation of disclosure.

PETER: And certain things come up, don’t they.

ED: Yes, they do, which helps. It really does. Thank you, sir (handshake).

LISA THOMASSON TESTIMONIAL OF UFO SIGHTING

On the evening of the sighting, we travelled over the Orwell Bridge west bound, I was a rear passenger near side, and I looked out of the window and noticed an unusual light in the sky, which wasn’t moving like a typical aircraft of anything – hence, I kept watching it, and my Dad also noticed it, as a front seat passenger – my brother was driving as a learner driver. The light seemed to move only slightly, and my initial thoughts were an aircraft searching the river.

We kept watching the light as it continues to hover in an unusual way. We exited the A14 onto the A137 towards Tattingstone. We could still see the light and were so intrigued; we pulled over on the turning to Tattingstone and got out of the car to take a better look.

I remember the flying object made a whirring noise, but it wasn’t loud at all, and there was a light shining down on the ground. We all stood there completely perplexed by what we were seeing. We didn’t say much, but just stood there for some time – around 15 minutes, but it felt like 5. Then, suddenly, without any change in noise or anything, it shot off in a split second. If you blinked you would have missed it. It shot off so quickly, it became out of sight in literally a second or two.

I had never seen anything like this before, and I have never seen anything like it since.

RETURN TO RENDLESHAM AND MORE PART 1
By Tony Elliott 28 Apr, 2023
Over the past few months, there has been a massive ad campaign on television and radio to get people especially over 50 years of age to get vaccinated against shingles. This is odd since a case of shingles can occur at any age, but mostly in those who have a lower immune system. The virus which causes shingles is Varicella Zoster virus (VZV) the same virus that causes Chicken Pox. Cases of shingles occur in individuals who have at one time in their lives had Chicken Pox. The VZV virus goes dormant, usually in the spine after having Chicken Pox, and stays there for decades until getting activated again usually from either a declining immune system or injury to the area where the virus was located. https://www.verywellhealth.com/facts-about-shingles-5524786 One would think any vaccine given for shingles, herpes zoster (HZ) would be the same vaccine given for (VZV) since it would give anyone the immunity boost needed to fight off the newly activated virus, but that isn't the case with the shingles vaccination. The so-called new vaccination for (HZ) as it turns out is nothing more than the covid-19 vaccination repackaged as a new vaccine for another affliction. Both vaccinations are one and the same mRNA using the exact proprietary antigen technology. https://www.biospace.com/article/pfizer-and-biontech-aim-mrna-technology-at-shingles-moderna-doses-first-patient-with-ebv-vaccine-candidate/ While still pushing for as many people as possible to get the covid vaccine and boosters they now want to get as many unvaccinated people as possible to get it under the guise of prevention of shingles. The vaccination was virtually useless in preventing people from getting and spreading covid and it is going to be just as ineffective at preventing shingles. The most alarming thing about this vaccination is the sudden deaths of countless young people in excellent health having cardiac arrests. It is a fact that the mRNA vaccine causes inflammation of the heart and can also lead to blood clotting. https://www.yalemedicine.org/news/myocarditis-coronavirus-vaccine The mRNA vaccine is the biggest medical experiment carried out on the planet's human population in history. We are only recently seeing the harmful side effects of this vaccine and as time passes we will be witness to many other harmful side effects that are not apparent at present. __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ UNIVERSAL DIGEST is pleased to be a conduit for our contributing authors.
