GLENN CROCKER-MUSICIAN WITH A MESSAGE

Glenn Crocker was directed by the Lord to write Christian songs hoping to reach them who could be touched by songs of freedom and hope.

GLENN CROCKER HISTORY

Glenn Crocker hails from a rich musical past. He was born into a Lutheran family who were farmers in central California. They were active in the community and his mother was the musical talent. Glenn knew from age 7 what he wanted to do. He wanted to sing, play the piano and write songs. That was almost 70 years ago and Glenn has now written over 200 songs. Until he retired, he was among other careers a studio musician
He formed his first band at 15 and at 18 he took his talents to Hollywood. Glenn was part of the rock and roll revolution in the 60’s and 70’s and worked with many musicians including Warren Zevon and David Marks of the Beach Boys. He was also exposed to a variety of musical styles including Country, Blues, Funk Jazz and Rock. And, you can hear them all in his music.
Glenn moved to the San Diego area in the early 80’s and founded a music school where he taught the advanced students for 12 years.
In 2005 after a divorce and a bout with cancer (now 16 years cancer free – praise the Lord) Glenn moved to Bend, Oregon. He didn’t know anyone there and after two months he felt alone, lost, and rudderless in the sea of life.

A RELATIONSHIP WITH THE LORD

Then, Glenn, moving to Oregon and leaving behind the troubles of his life in southern California, he found living in a place where he knew no one. So, this writer asked Glenn, in the first Skype interview a number of questions. What follows is exactly how he responded.

Why are you doing this?

“I moved from southern California to central Oregon 16 years ago after a year of going through a divorce and cancer. I didn’t know anyone here and hadn’t played the piano or written a song for over 2 years. After being here for 2 months I felt very alone and lost. I wondered why I made the choice to move here.

One evening I just broke down and asked the Lord: What do you want me to do with the rest of my life? Within 5 minutes I was back on the piano and a new song was emerging. I thought, well, that makes sense. Why am I doing this? Because, the Lord directed me to do it. I sensed He was not done with me, yet.

And, now all these years and 44 songs later, He’s still giving me new music all the time. And, with today’s technology, it’s reaching people all over the world.”

INTERVIEW WITH GLENN AND ED

As, the interview progressed, this writer became so moved to do what could be done to help spread the word to others. Also, helping to elevate the human condition fit perfectly with the purpose Glenn is accomplishing in his music, inspired from our Father.

Glenn Crocker asked the Lord what He wanted him to do with his life. The Answer came within 5 minutes.

Therefore, the interview continued with this next set of questions. Glenn’s responses are represented with little grammatical editing for clarity of understanding.

Who do you hope to reach?

“There are several groups of people I hope to reach. 1) Christians whose faith may be wavering. 2) People who struggle with addiction. 3) Christians who feel they are alone and are fearful of the persecution they are or may be soon facing. 4) As friends share my music with their friends, I hope to help them come to the Lord.”

Do you believe there is a lack of faith?

“There is absolutely is a lack of faith today. Church attendance just went under 50% for the first time in this country. Just look at our society and compare it with Rome in Chapter 1 of Paul’s letter to the Romans. We have sunk to the lows that you read about, there.”

Do you see Christianity under attack?

“YES! There are many forms of persecution. I’m in contact with people in other countries where Christians lives are at risk. In one country, because of the pandemic, people are suffering because of the lack of food, water, and medicine. The people who practiced the predominate religion of the country were given help. But, the Christians were not. This is one form of persecution.

Here, in this country, Christian faith itself is under attack. In some countries just being a Christian can get you killed.

In this country, there’s censorship in the media and social networks. You have to be careful what you say because the cancel culture is real. If they don’t like what you’re saying they just cancel/block you.”

GOD HAS BEEN REMOVED FROM SCHOOLS

To continue, “God is being taken out of schools and government, so, our children aren’t learning that this country was founded on Judeo-Christian principles. My songs, ‘Don’t Let Freedom Down’ and ‘Walking In His Light’ both address this and tell Christians it’s time to stand up and be counted. The silent majority need to un-silence themselves, band together and say, ‘Enough is enough’.”

This author has been blessed, humbled, and honored to be an infinitesimally small part of such a hugely important and eternal part of life, which is our Lord and Jesus. Glenn and I have known each other in social media for a few years now. We both know that nothing happens by accident.

Ultimately, Glenn and this writer knew we were being directed, but we didn’t know when. God did and directed me, as well, to complete the connection.

Please, know that our Lord has plans for each and every one of you, too. All you have to do is ask for Jesus to come into your life. Ask Him, who is our advocate to our Father what is it that we need do and it will be revealed.

In all honesty, this writer started the article with the first sentence. Where would the next sentence come? Looked at it for two days. After asking the Lord to help make this right for Glenn, Christians and mankind who seek Him, this all happened in just 3 hours.

Humbling, it is to know Glenn Crocker is a friend for eternity.

SAINT IGNATIUS AUTOBIOGRAPHY

Originally published in 1643, the “Autobiography of Saint Ignatius” brings to us the first hand insight into the incredible transformation of a warrior to worshipper. Ignatius found himself briefly in front of those situating for the Inquisition in Spain, and help form the Jesuit order.

From having his leg almost blown off from a cannonball in battle, to making the decision whether to murder a man because of blasphemy, going back to school at the age of 33 when many at his age did not, putting into focus spiritual exercises and meditation to enhance one’s mind for clarity, Saint Ignatius, in his own words, brings the reader along during his transformation and spiritual journey. A teacher and nurturer of education, the Jesuit order and its approach quickly grew and its legacy is still being felt today.

Free in the public record, this autobiography captivates and informs the reader And, it gives everyone a glimpse into the world in which Saint Ignatius walked, as well as, the blossoming of scholastic thought and process he helped to manifest.

SAINT AUGUSTINE AND HIS CONFESSIONS

The book that I have just finished that I will review for you today, was written on or about the year 397 AD. Originally titled and meant to be read out loud such as Homer’s Iliad, ‘Confessions in 13 books’, later to be known as ‘Confessions by Saint Augustine’, gives the reader or listener, a wonderful insight into the teachings and what went into the teachings of Saint Augustine.

Saint Augustine wrote his confessions around 397 A.D. Back then, most people would sit and listen while it was read to them.

It may be important to remind everyone, that this historic work, was not written at the end of St Augustine’s life. Rather, It Was written while he was in his forties.

This work deep in words and in meaning, covers the time of St Augustine’s early childhood youth and a time where he was a fervent believer in astrology, and covers his slow migration to the Christian faith.

For me some of the philosophical insights, covered in this masterful work, were how sins of youth, or of ambition, or of the need for societal inclusion, do not define us. Rather, the pursuit of God’s love and understanding is much more important in everlasting life, than focusing on times where we have come up short from God’s best.

We can be manipulated by the masses. When people look at our faults and hold that against us; well God loves us, forgives us, and wants the best for us.

SUMMARY

I found St Augustine’s writings on time, to be very interesting, as he goes a long way in solving the paradoxical dilemma; what about the time before there was God? What what was before God created the heavens and the Earth?

Briefly put, by definition; before there was time there still had to be time. It is much as we look at things as human beings today. As time is quickly passing by, but thinking that time was moving slowly when you were in the moment.

Time is both fluid and stagnant and can’t be both, but different at the same moment.

This is a slow read that causes the reader to sit, meditate and contemplate.

St. Augustine also gives a very clear message. It is where one can hold onto their beliefs, but respect with all earnest reference to somebody else’s different beliefs.

This book is free to read in the public record.

Because, she is well-known as being fair-minded both intellectually and financially with whom she is associated. Her goal from the outset was to provide the sound and look for what talk radio should be like.

KCOR Digital Radio Network airs a broadcast venue for over thirty-six talk show hosts. And, there is a waiting list for those who want to join her network. Tina works diligently to bring the best in broadcasting to the listening public. She works twice the usual work-week and is constantly adding to KCOR the best hosts. She produces all live shows herself.

As with any business, there are expenses. While Tina has worked hard to keep costs down (including producing her live shows herself), she still must charge the talk show hosts for their show participation. She is working to change this situation. Notwithstanding, there is a line up of over 50 shows and yes, there is a waiting list. Many potential hosts are asking to join KCOR. If Tina can provide free airtime the network could provide unique shows and programming almost 24/7.

There are some talk show hosts who prefer to keep their archives free and have agreed to continue to pay for their airtime. With this being considered, if subscriptions to the radio network out-way the costs, it is a win-win for listeners and show hosts alike.

Ultimately, once the above foundations are established, more staff can be hired to help maintain the network and more producers can maintain live support for the new and existing shows joining KCOR.

A LITTLE RECOUNTING OF HISTORY

As Universal Digest was in its beginnings, Tina Marie and this author were introduced on social media. A planned meeting was made when next we traveled to Las Vegas, Nevada, for a well-earned vacation. We first met at South Point Casino and the rest is history.

After our meeting, we shared much of our life experiences. When Tina discussed some of her encounters with other entities, I offered to write an article about it. Since, I am also an experiencer, it was pretty much a no-brainer for me to undertake this task. It took a few months to sift through the interviews and information, but I was certainly up for this.

Ultimately, Tina’s long-time experiences with visitations over many years was created after six months from our first meeting. The article in the link is called ‘An Extraterrestrial Invitation‘ and it was my honor to publish it. Please bear in mind, she is an author now. She wrote her first book based on her experiences. And, it may surprise one on the path she has taken. Tina wrote her first fiction novel based on her real experiences. It is called: Alien Deception.

SUMMARY

We have found an enduring friendship based on honesty and objectivity. Tina Marie Caouette is one of the hardest-working people I have ever met. Her business acumen is far and beyond the norm seen today of those who are directed and successful.

Tina continues KCOR Digital Radio Network because she loves what she does. And, in fact, she doesn’t have to continue. Yes, she has a life, but Tina is self-directed to provide what she does in having the finest, best, and most successful talk show hosts airing to answer so many questions for those who have them.

This author is honored and pleased to be a part of Tina’s aspirations. In fact, it is what prompted the creation of this article.
