Poked on Facebook and beyond has a new update. If it were not from my friend, Jim Andre, I would not have known any more than I do, now. He had tried to poke me, like so many friends over the last two months, without response. We spent over an hour working over the nuances of what Facebook not only provides, but still does make available; although, not so pronounced or apparent. This is an update from the original article inception, just over two days ago. Thank you, Jim. So, here is the truth of is all. How much more can one be impersonal in applications, when one should be personal in a social networking venue? I trust one may see where I care to tread in the ‘lack’ of communication?

For the record, what follows is only a reporting of what I have experienced, over time. It is, in no way, a prescribing to the Facebook network, in any way. Yes, I participate, only in the fact I have been provided a free venue from a reputable source in social media. Bear in mind, without question, that I am not on their payroll, nor do I plan to be. In fact, I find some aspects of their actions not acceptable in some areas. However, pure and simple, I am on their site, for as long as that exists.

og: poked
Poke sidebar deleted.

To the end of being completely transparent (as it always should be), I was incorrect in stating Facebook had eliminated the ‘poke’ application. I was fooled when my little sidebar app was mysteriously removed. And, it is removed, to date. Poked, no more, lol.

Yes, Facebook no longer adds the app to the sidebar, because, apparently, there were complaints that pokes were too easy to do. Bam, that was it. From what I wrote below, I stand to purport further, this article, not retract it. Communication is everything and when it is not met with exact correction, it causes more problems for many people. Therefore, please read on, as I hope you see my point in all this monotone continuation.

Pokes Lead to Communications

Before I continue this article, be it known, Facebook has decided to end being poked (pun intended) without reservation. In other words, they got rid of being poked and didn’t say a word about it. For whatever reason and I will not speculate, being poked is no longer available. Frankly, with logical introspection, they did the right thing. Most comments were negative and the ones who were poking became an elite, select crowd going to nowhere. Nowhere means, it wasn’t helping FB and it’s marketing and members, overall. Some people may not get this, but I do. The following article is one I posted as a pending article over a year ago. The spirits are kind in allowing me to wait. Opportunities abound when one is patient.

By the way, I did contact them about this issue and I was not only rewarded with the standard thank you for contacting us, as we are working to improve Facebook, I was rewarded with ‘no more comments, lol.’ To be fair, they have included me in forums, groups, and assurance they appreciate my involvement to help make Facebook a better place. I appreciate this. You see, my friends, if you want to be a member in Facebook, please bear in mind some fundamental understandings: 1) You are being provided a venue to now communicate with others in the world you would not otherwise have available, so be nice and do not ‘look a gift horse in the mouth’ so to speak. 2) Facebook likes your involvement, too. It builds their member and search engine base to be viable in the stock market. 3) They do try to sell to you, but you are not under any obligation to purchase, if you are so business inclined. 4) If you don’t like it, get out. They provide this option, as well. 5) It is a fallacy to think they always keep your information. Just ask to delete your Timeline and after two weeks, you can permanently delete it. They keep a database, but no one can see it. You are in control, here. I can think of many other organizations who do share your private information, where Facebook tends to protect it. So, there you are.

The following is the original start of the publication. Am just being transparent from when I started this article over a year ago:

Being poked on Facebook has many connotations. Social media in its finest, Facebook has not only taken the lead, it has set a worldwide precedent for global communication. One of their innovations is the ‘poke’ as a method of communication.

og: poked
Poked in finest fashion.

This article is not to endorse or disparage the efforts of Facebook in any way. It is to note the incredible history and progress this firm has made in the light of technological communications achievements since the advent of the Internet, itself. C’mon, Al Gore, you didn’t invent the Internet in 1995…it came before you in some very interesting, militaristic venues. The real birth of the Internet came from three individuals who were instrumental in operations in a US military agency created for these purposes: Advanced Research Projects Agency. Well, this is substance for another story, but for now, it is Facebook of which I find great interest. Since before the beginnings of the ‘world wide web’, Facebook stands out as incredible in application, innovation, and implementation since Bill Gates, who started out working at IBM (International Business Machines) until he created Microsoft (Windows).

Taking a brief look at the development and history of this phenomena of Facebook, I am constantly amazed at its continued progress. Facebook was originally set up to create a local service for Harvard students by Mark Zuckerberg and four of his classmates. Zuckerberg wrote a program called “Facemash” to provide a venue for others to meet socially to date, among other things, ultimately.

Since that time, please take a moment to ponder at the development of Mark Zuckerberg’s innovation. His firm has become the number one social media network in the world. Even though, recently, Facebook participation from members, globally, on a decrease, his network grows.

Please, from a layman’s standpoint, with some IT superlative status, let us see how he has developed his empire. It is not only amazing how this has come to pass, it is amazing how the techs, monitors, and innovators keep up.

Now, after over a year, and after over fourteen years of introspective research, I must say that Mark Zuckerberg is more realistic. His innovative approaches to creating a social media venue where millions of participants can make themselves available for communications is a phenomena in itself. Until anyone can top this, you are all on call to think about it.

Do not think for a minute that the creativity of the human mind has come by accident? No, look into each and every one of you to seek the creativity from within. It was a gift given from so long ago, or was it just yesterday? Do not sell yourself short. The time is soon coming where you can all speak, share, and communicate so freely, even the previous authors could not keep up.

Thank you all so much for reading this long overdue article. Again, I did sit on this one for about one and one-half years.

Only you all can keep searching, believing, finding, and caring more now than ever there is a time to reach out to your family, friends, loved ones, and yes, even your enemies to show how much you all understand about life, liberty, and the real pursuit of happiness. Facebook is part of this. So, enjoy it. Be responsible and accountable in your own actions.

Sincerely, thank you, everyone at Facebook for providing a free service to communicate with anyone, anywhere in the world, at any time.

World Ag Expo 50th Anniversary at the Heritage Complex grounds covered over two million acres! The 2017 event was the best ever accomplished.

What a day to visit the 50th annual Tulare County World Ag Expo! The central valley of California has experienced one of the wettest rain seasons in known history. The timing could not have been better to arrive at the grounds on a misty, crisp morning early on Wednesday, February 15th. Not only was it beneficial for parking close to a main gate, it had dried out to where we were not immersed in people and mud. The snow-capped Sierra mountains were barely visible upon arrival, yet, by mid-afternoon they were clearly visible, which will be seen at article’s end.

So, the day begins. As an antecedent, we arrived one week early, by accident, as mentioned on the previous article. Upon an oops arrival, it was decided to enjoy the ambiance and rich history of this incredible breadbasket of the world the International Agri-Center has provided for the public to enjoy for only donations. Of course, the annual World Ag Expo did require a paltry entry admission, which was gladly forked over. What many people do not realize is much of the funds gathered by the facility goes right back into the county for schools and community services.

Since arriving early to the event, we stood in line for a while, awaiting entry onto the grounds. It was a great time to interact and commiserate with not only attendees, but with some exhibitors, as well. The Expo staff actually approached us with stamps for our forehands indicating our paid status, in case we needed to leave, temporarily before returning to the grounds. Since it was a bit cool, some staff members were offering coffee and hot chocolate drinks for us to enjoy, at no charge. What a deal! Everyone was quite jovial and we met some nice and interesting people. Security was in existence, yet, I was rather amazed at how well they kept a low-profile and quiet demeanor.

The World Ag Expo began in 1968.

Once we entered the gates, the extravaganza began! Which way to go, which way to go, was the first thoughts on mind. Left was chosen in anticipation of not being left out (pun intended). What a spectacle to behold as we all walked in amazement at the displays, exhibits, pavilions, and buildings amassed in the sprawling grounds. As the morning grew into midday, we were all blessed with the incredibly great weather break from recent storms and rainfall (no complaints and disdain for those who do). Are we out of a drought, could be, yet no one in the central valley should ever be upset with moisture from rainfall or water flow.

Well, there is some valid complaints I can think of during any harvest. There are raisins drying in the sun, cotton ready for ginning at the wrong time…oh my, I could open a number of situations from here on…not to worry, I caught myself in the nick of time from getting too far off topic…however, all above issues can be relevant to the best farmers, ranchers, and dairymen this valley has ever known. I must say this again, for the record. The world is blessed beyond belief, at the hard work, multi-generational, and diligent realization of what agriculture means to everyone living here and in the world. These gifted individuals know this and so should everyone else. Because of what they know, learn, and teach, we are all better off, as they apply all resources to grow more with less every year. We. too, should be examples of how not only to conserve, but to apply our residential wiles to conservation and recycling efforts, where applicable.

There, I just got off my stump for recognition and conservation. I am blessed with those who, as mentors, enabled me to understand, especially in community and regional activities to give back where I can.

Please click on any of the images below to start a clickable gallery where you can exit at any time to return to the article. These are some of the sites seen and enjoyed. Thank goodness for the trams offered to see the grounds…the most ever:

Next on the voyage, I first stopped by the Toyota booth where they were raffling a new vehicle for $5 per ticket. I didn’t win, but it was for a great cause; Valley Children’s Hospital. I met more friends and acquaintances over the many years of life in Tulare County. At the International Business Center (shown above) I saw Ryan Purkiss, who is the Present Rotary president for the Visalia Sunset club. The reception for Ag Expo attendees was very well done. I was able to visit with other Rotary friends who were busy attending to the crowds. Ryan said all five Visalia Rotary clubs and both Tulare clubs had combined resources together to provide the amenities for everyone to enjoy. It was a pleasant respite from the crowds to enjoy the food and drinks there. Then I saw another friend of many years, Dr. Larry Stoneburner. He has been a mainstay in multi-county community service for as long as I can remember:

Then, I was on the hunt to say hello to Ray Appleton of KMJ 580 AM Radio, known as KMJNOW. I first visited the Heritage Complex media center because I had failed to listen closely enough when Ray said from where he would be broadcasting during the three-day event. The management and staff were most accommodating and pointed to the Case Exhibit not too far away. I mention this because I wanted to give kudos to all who participated in this fantastic 50th anniversary event! The staff members commented how fortunate they were that KMJ and Ray Appleton were participating, as they have done for years.

Since I lived in the Las Angeles area, I started travelling on business in the central California valley. This was where I first listened to KMJ radio. They are known as Radio City (Fresno, CA). Also known as the blow-torch of the valley, it broadcasts over 50,000 Watts of power. It can be heard from the western coastal areas to as far south as the Grapevine heading south over the mountains to southern California. It is also heard as far east as the Sierra mountain chain to as far north approaching Sacramento. By the way, KMJ streams worldwide so do listen when you can.

Finally, we made our way to where Ray was broadcasting from his booth at the Case Exhibit. On a personal note, I wanted to state, for the record a little bit about Ray Appleton, from my experiences. For many years past, when I was reaching out to the community in association with area education, the Visalia Chamber of Commerce, and two Rotary Clubs, Visalia Sunset and then Woodlake, I would sometimes see Ray. He is a huge believer in community welfare activities, whether it ranges from business to one of his favorite organizations, the SPCA (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals). Over the years, his passion for politics has found him in contact with past presidents of the United States, including President Trump, where he just returned from the 115th Congressional State of the Union address. He also provides a venue for any and all political entities who care to share with the public with local, state, and federal actions and activities. His candor for being honest, to the point, yet quite humanistic to everyone with whom he has contact is well-known for the last thirty years. Obviously, I have a keen respect for Ray and I am glad to just have the contact I have over the years, inclusive of periodic call ins to the radio station to chat on various subjects. To note, 2017 begins his 30th year of broadcasting. The management and staff of KMJ 580 AM Radio are honoring Ray with the 30th Anniversary Bash to be held at the Fresno Fairground on May 20th, beginning at 2 pm. There will be many festivities to enjoy. I certainly plan to attend!

To end this segment, it was great to see Ray during one of his brief breaks at the bottom of the hour. When I had arrived, almost no one was hanging around, yet, by the time Ray generously took a few moments to chat, some important-looking people were showing up. From experience, I knew this would become part of his show so after the above photo-op, I knew it was time to go. Was I ever so right, as I was listening in some major issues had arisen where, as usual, he was taking the ‘bull by the horns’. Although brief, this was a memorable visit.

As the day moved along, the plethora of tractor-driven coaches were an absolute blessing. There were so many of them some actually had to stop and wait for the one in front. It was such an easy start and stop operation, we were able to see all of what we chose to see. As the afternoon waned into later day, the crowds were still growing! The air was filled with sounds of people speaking in many different languages and the smells of different cuisines wafted and seemed to follow as I walked along the various ‘roads’ in the two-million acre layout.

In closing, I want to leave everyone concerned, the Heritage Complex management and staff, exhibitors, broadcasters, concessionaires, maintenance, and just plain, nice visitors a huge, heart-felt thank you. This was a most unforgettable event so fitting for the 50th Annual World Ag Expo, hosted by the International Agri-Center and Heritage Complex.

Las Vegas, Nevada, a hotbed of UFO sightings?

Unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP), unidentified flying objects (UFOs) and the Las Vegas connection of aerial phenomena have been one-in-the-same occurrences for many years, especially due to nearby AREA 51 and NELLIS AIR FORCE BASE with its constant military, commercial, and individual activity.

The purpose of this article is to take an objective view of media reports, especially in social media, relating to possible visitations by craft not of earth. What is real and what is misinformation, disinformation, embellishments and/or hoaxes of what is reported from media sources in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA? Please, question everything you see, view and read. It is well known that over 98% of UFO sightings cannot only can be explained, they are faked. Don’t forget the preponderance of CGI (Computer Generated Imagery), Photoshop, and mobile phone apps.

What is essential to critical thinking skills is common sense. It is most important to study and check sources before making a decision whether or not the article one is reading is accurate. Since a picture, as well as, a video can speak thousands of words while viewing published information from any media sources, one must be extremely careful. Is it a UFO, UAP, drone, helicopter, propeller craft, commercial jet, or even a military craft?

[themepacific_googlemap title=”Nevada” location=”Las Vegas” zoom=”10″ height=250]

This author has visited Las Vegas and surrounding areas for years. Further, after conducting many queries, interviews, meetings, source studies and related research regarding UFO (Unidentified Flying Objects), as well as, UAP (Unidentified Aerial Phenomena), the decision is not to reveal source names with a few exceptions, although permissions have been received. It is a pleasure to have met and conversed both verbally and in type with some very credible sources and to all of them, a respectful thank you is given.

[Tweet “Is it not time be responsible and accountable in UFO/UAP reporting?”]

Please note, this article is not written to condescend or accuse any areas of media, organizations, groups, or individuals, as to authenticity or lack thereof in public posts. In fact, it is believed that the most misguided and/or errant reporting had its roots in a verifiable passion to tell the truth. Just report events for what they are. It is a free country with free speech. If one chooses to report false events, they can do so. Let’s face it, science fiction is most entertaining and does tend to become science fact. However, isn’t it time to be objective and truthful in one’s research from media sources to the public?

On a recent trip to Las Vegas, it was decided to take some pictures of local aerial phenomena. In just a few minutes, it was surprising how many interesting snapshots resulted. One brief video is also provided.

Here are some snapshots from the camera:

And, this is a brief video from the camera with sound:

The following is a short video taken by Greg McDaniel on YouTube, who with kind consent after quite an interview process, wanted to share what he discovered that others had claimed were UFO sightings from Red Rock Canyon area (visited a few times and have seen same as darkness had fallen). He noted they were the headlights from a park ranger’s vehicle. Mr. McDaniel has taken the time to complete objective research in related areas to state normal events occurred. His candid and honest approach is appreciated.

This is the following video of vehicle headlights in the Red Rock Canyon area where some had claimed there were UFO sightings. Courtesy of Greg McDaniel:

There has been a “mountain” of UFO activity being reported in the Las Vegas area over the last couple of years. However, from where does it come? Let us take a look at this “phenomena” as has been documented from social media sources. Recently, reports came in of hundreds of UFOs being sighted in the Las Vegas area, as an example. This query comes to mind: If such an event was true, would it not be reported, worldwide within one day! What does the reader think of this? Remember the “Phoenix Lights” event in Arizona in 1997?

What if someone would take pictures or videos of such aerial events or evening traffic flow of vehicles (as displayed above) in the Las Vegas and Clark County area? Isn’t it possible to make it look as if something unusual was amiss? Wouldn’t it also become worldwide news if multiple UFOs were actually flying or hovering over a constantly active city of millions of people, working or vacationing twenty-four hours a day?

West Las Vegas Area

Please view the “Nevada Triangle” picture. From credible sources it seems most sightings are occurring away from the Vegas area, mostly in California, Arizona, and east of the triangle, New Mexico. Not that there have been valid UFO/UAP sightings in the Las Vegas area, but now with the build up of Area 51 and Groom Lake area by the Air Force and other government agencies, it seems to be commercial and military.

Let us take a look regarding the present state of technology. Doing the best to keep up with military tech in aviation and space exploration, we cannot ignore the fact the United States (and some allies) has been much more than forthcoming in aerial development and space exploration. Example: Since the advent of the B-2 Bomber, anti-gravitational navigation has been introduced according to credible sources. Review this technology, online, if one is so inclined. It exists on YouTube, as well. Also, the latest “triangle UFO” sightings are becoming a “glimpse” at the latest anti-gravitational technology. Again, it seems most sightings are from our own military. The B-2 bomber has been viewed high overhead in the central valley region of California in the 1990’s when it was still classified.

The truth is the military is more than 100 years ahead of what is being publicly admitted, whether it is US or allied in origin. The next generation of fighter craft will be carrying laser equipped, energized pods to repel any other aerial phenomena aggressive tactics! This is subject matter for another, future article; however, addressing the fact of UFO/UAP activity in the Las Vegas area is the point.

Now, you, the reader can be the judge of what is really happening in the Las Vegas area. Is there much to present UFO reports, or is it more to do with airplanes, jets, drones, traffic lights, and helicopters?

Universal Digest

Pass it On:

UAP or UFO sighting activities in central California, USA, have always been a matter of record in recent times. Many reports have been rendered, as well as, many more have been either reported by area media or just plain ignored. In all cases, to date, noted…government or military responses have been a big, fat, zero, although, requested. And, it comes as no surprise.

From Lemoore Naval Air Base to Fresno Air National Guard the sky is always a venue for training and formation flying over the central valley areas inclusive of the coastal regions to performing aerial tactics over the sierra mountain chain of the western US and the Owens Valley area south to the high desert. Perforce, all military operations must follow strict guidelines for these operations and sometimes, the valley residents, themselves may speculate what is happening overhead, whether it be day or night. This author has personally viewed these activities over the years in most of these areas. The most notable recalled was an insane southbound flyby from a Phantom F4C jet at just less than the speed of sound over Coso Junction, a rest area with market off Route 395 in the California desert. In viewing the craft, it passed at less than 100 feet overhead. Car alarm activation and the screams of small children were heard over the din.

Recently, a professional photographer who resides in the Fresno, CA area, Dora Stephanie via her friend, Darryl Wong of Fresno, contacted me with some interesting photographs and comments. That is when we went into action to research and invite other ufologists to have a look and comment. It was very near the same time other sightings were made as far away as Bakersfield, CA. Please click on the link below for the article posted in the last two months:

UAP Activity In Central California

Since our first contact, mentioned above, more events have occurred. Again, Dora, Darryl, and I sprang into action with the latest photographic evidence of unexplained phenomena. Please click anywhere on the following pictures to enter the tile mosaic photos. To exit, please press the white X on the upper left screen or press escape:

Please Note: Any photography copying, rendering or any other method of facsimile can only be made with the express permission of Dora Stephanie. Any other reproductions are prohibited. To obtain permission, one may contact Dora Stephanie Photography.

For the record, Dora Stephanie is exacting in her work as a photographer and was fairly perplexed at what she caught (as mentioned in the previous article) so she is asking, as we all should be, what is happening here?

Dora states, “My observation as a photographer is that most of these flying objects seem to illuminate themselves under a lot atmospheric activity. I do not perceive to know what they are, I am simply an observer. On a further note, I haven’t as yet seen these objects outside of my camera lens. It is when I take the photos to my computer for analysis, that I find the anomalies.”

Next she states this, which is good for all the photographically perfected enthusiasts who may be reading…

“Here are the stats on the purple bubble like object. 4/5/2015 7:10pm. f-stop 7.1, iso speed 100, exposure bias 0 step, focal length 92mm.” Dora Stephanie

Whatever one may think or derive from the above information, please know they are supported in their views and objective observations. There is no prescribed, perceived or artificially generated photography in this article.

Here is an example provided by Darryl Wong to help explain the aerial phenomena of Dora Stephanie photographs on a daily basis that are well explained:
