Conscious Change: Taking Action in Your Community for the Causes You Believe In

In a world that is so often driven by self-interest, it is refreshing and inspiring to see people take action in their communities for the causes they believe in. There are many ways to get involved, and each one of us can play a role in making our world a better place. Here are a few areas to consider, courtesy of Universal Digest.

SOCIAL JUSTICE

Eugene Therapy notes that there are many ways to get involved with social justice, whether it is volunteering at a local soup kitchen or women’s shelter or working with an organization that provides legal aid to low-income individuals. You can also get involved in grassroots organizing to effect change in your community. This could involve striving to end discrimination or fighting for better working conditions and wages.

NEIGHBORHOOD SAFETY

You can make a difference in your community by working to improve neighborhood safety. Start a neighborhood watch program, work with local law enforcement to address crime, or organize a community clean-up day. You can also work to improve safety by advocating for better street lighting or working to beautify your area.

UPGRADE YOUR EDUCATION

Entering a career in education is not just a job, but a path to making a lasting impact in your community. By exploring online EdD options, you open the door to a world where you can significantly influence curriculum development and policy. An online education doctoral degree equips you with the expertise to evaluate and enhance instructional and assessment methods, thereby improving learning outcomes for students of all ages.

The flexibility of online coursework allows you to learn at your own pace, making it feasible to balance your educational aspirations with existing work and life responsibilities. This means you can actively work towards your goals without putting the rest of your life on hold. Pursuing an EdD online is a powerful step towards becoming a leader in education, shaping the minds of future generations, and instigating positive changes in the educational landscape of your community.

VOTER REGISTRATION

You can directly impact political processes by encouraging voter registration in your community. Start by working with your local library or community center to set up voter registration drives. You can also talk to people in your neighborhood about the importance of voting and help them to understand the voting process. This ultimately leads to a more engaged and informed electorate.

ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS

Environmental issues are often overlooked on a community level. Trash Cans Depot suggests protecting the environment and raising awareness by organizing a community recycling program, starting a community garden, or hosting an event to discuss environmental issues. You can also work to raise awareness about the importance of conserving energy and water. Schools are often a great place to start, as you can work with students and teachers to implement sustainability initiatives.

LOCAL POLITICS

You can directly impact the decisions made in your community by getting involved in local politics yourself. Although it may seem daunting, there are many ways to get started. You can attend city council meetings and voice your opinion on important issues, work on a political campaign, or even run for office yourself. Getting involved in local politics is a great way to ensure that your community is moving in the right direction.

SUBSTANCE ABUSE

If you are concerned about the level of substance abuse in your community, consider working with local schools to implement drug prevention programs. You can also volunteer at a local rehabilitation center or recovery home. Raising awareness about the dangers of substance abuse and the resources available to those struggling with addiction will improve the community holistically.

There is a lot of discussion about the importance of community, but it is important to remember that a community is not just a place; it’s made up of the people who live there. When we take action in our communities – whether it’s through something like voter registration, event promotion, or even going back to school – we can work to make the world a better place for everyone!

For almost four years, this writer has been claiming the sun is getting brighter than it was in our recent past observations. Upon query with others, many have agreed. This prompted some digging around for evidence, not just hearsay. Here are some facts to support the phenomena.

Over the past few months, there has been a massive ad campaign on television and radio to get people especially over 50 years of age to get vaccinated against shingles. This is odd since a case of shingles can occur at any age, but mostly in those who have a lower immune system. The virus which causes shingles is Varicella Zoster virus (VZV) the same virus that causes Chicken Pox. Cases of shingles occur in individuals who have at one time in their lives had Chicken Pox. The VZV virus goes dormant, usually in the spine after having Chicken Pox, and stays there for decades until getting activated again usually from either a declining immune system or injury to the area where the virus was located. https://www.verywellhealth.com/facts-about-shingles-5524786 One would think any vaccine given for shingles, herpes zoster (HZ) would be the same vaccine given for (VZV) since it would give anyone the immunity boost needed to fight off the newly activated virus, but that isn't the case with the shingles vaccination. The so-called new vaccination for (HZ) as it turns out is nothing more than the covid-19 vaccination repackaged as a new vaccine for another affliction. Both vaccinations are one and the same mRNA using the exact proprietary antigen technology. https://www.biospace.com/article/pfizer-and-biontech-aim-mrna-technology-at-shingles-moderna-doses-first-patient-with-ebv-vaccine-candidate/ While still pushing for as many people as possible to get the covid vaccine and boosters they now want to get as many unvaccinated people as possible to get it under the guise of prevention of shingles. The vaccination was virtually useless in preventing people from getting and spreading covid and it is going to be just as ineffective at preventing shingles. The most alarming thing about this vaccination is the sudden deaths of countless young people in excellent health having cardiac arrests. It is a fact that the mRNA vaccine causes inflammation of the heart and can also lead to blood clotting. https://www.yalemedicine.org/news/myocarditis-coronavirus-vaccine The mRNA vaccine is the biggest medical experiment carried out on the planet's human population in history. We are only recently seeing the harmful side effects of this vaccine and as time passes we will be witness to many other harmful side effects that are not apparent at present. __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ UNIVERSAL DIGEST is pleased to be a conduit for our contributing authors.
